Scope of Service

Whalesong Conversations provides social connection and companionship for seniors. I am not a coach or therapist and will not be providing any sort of counseling, diagnosis, or treatment. I am a registered yoga teacher with additional training in trauma-informed instruction, meditation, and nonviolent communication. I also have an active Mental Health First Aid certificate.

Call Etiquette

The service I provide is strictly platonic and limited to social conversation and connection. Talk or actions of a sexual nature will not be tolerated and will result in termination of the call.

At the start of each call, I will set a timer that will alert us when we are reaching the end of our time together. This allows me to focus all of my attention on you. When the timer goes off, whoever is talking should take one to two minutes to complete their thought or story. Then we will wrap up the conversation together and say goodbye. Please be respectful of the time limit of our session, as this allows other calls to begin on time.

Information and Privacy

Your privacy is very important to me. When you book an appointment, you will be asked to provide your name, email address, and phone number. You will also provide your billing address and credit card information during checkout. This information is only used to contact you regarding the services I provide and to collect payment for these services. Your information is never shared or sold. If you have any questions or concerns about how your information is collected and used, please email me through the contact form.

Emergency Contact

When you schedule your first appointment, you will be asked to provide the name and phone number of an emergency contact. This person will only be contacted if there is an emergency while we are on a call together or if our conversation raises urgent concerns about your physical or mental well-being. While the specific content of our conversation will remain confidential, by providing your emergency contact’s information you are giving me permission to alert them if I believe it is in your best interest. I launched this service to support the well-being of seniors and that is my commitment to you.

Age Restriction

You must be eighteen years of age or older to schedule a call. By scheduling a call, you affirm that you are over the age of eighteen.

Location Restriction

If you live outside of the United States, standard phone calls are not available at this time. Please schedule your free introductory call as a video call. When scheduling additional calls, please select either of the video call options (The Blue Whale or The Grey Whale).

Cancellation and Refunds

Please make any cancellations at least 24 hours in advance of your call. If you cancel within 24 hours of your call, you will be refunded 50% of your session cost.

Financial Hardship

I offer a fixed number of calls per month at a reduced rate for seniors who want support but are experiencing financial hardship. No documentation is required. If you’d like to be considered for this discount, please email me through the contact form.
